While we like to claim that everything is bigger and better in Texas, the Texas State Fair's monstrous dedication to all things fried started only six years ago, not 125 earlier, as titled in the Houston Press' food blog Eating Our Words article, "The Texas State Fair: Specializing in Fried Crap, 125 Years and Counting," which counted from when the fair began in 1886. Does this make fried beer any less disgusting? No. [EOW, Pegasus]
