Week in Reviews

vietnamesefajitas.jpgOh snap, Mai's Restaurant got pwned in the Houston Press' restaurant review this week. Critic Katharine Shilcutt visits the rebuilt late-night Vietnamese food institution and has little nice to say about it. Disappointments included "tough spring rolls," accompanied by "gritty, dusty-tasting peanut sauce." She also had an unsanitary encounter with a waiter who set dirty dishes down on her table, "as I sat eating my meal." [HP]
