Sort of a surprise, but sort of not a surprise, Yelapa Playa Mexicana is officially closed. The coastal Mexican restaurant had a good run while it lasted, first under the direction of chef L.J. Wiley and not too long ago, Brandon Fisch (who is now at Xuco Xicana). Now the fun begins trying to speculate what the prime location will house next in the way of restaurants.
