Comparing Food Trucks to Restaurants

A recent dismal dinner at Ava Kitchen contrasted distinctly with a same-night feast from a dive bar's kitchen (by the team from fancier-food truck, The Modular), and Houston Press food critic Katharine Shilcutt had lots to say about it...and so do the commenters. Shilcutt uses the deep divide of experiences between Houston stalwart, Robert Del Grande's upscale restaurant, and the amoeba-like culinary happenings of up-and-coming chefs as a springboard to encourage us Houstonians to "support the little guys."
