We proclaim 2011 as the year of the grocery store (but only for the purposes of this post), and Eating Our Words broke down the best openings in the last 12 months. They are: Disco Kroger, Mi Tienda, H-E-B Montrose, Phoenicia downtown and Revival Market. Not that we don't love Revival, but it's totally not a grocery store...replace that with Whole Foods Montrose (hello, there's a bar inside!) and we're in total agreement, because us plebeians can't eat at tasting dinners every night of the week.
