The Loop Scoop (TLS) found that while oyster bar, Liberty Kitchen is anti-Houston Chronicle food critic, Alison Cook, casual Italian eatery, D'Amico's in the Heights is quite the opposite. Accusing the restaurant of "playing favorites" with a simple chalkboard sign welcoming Cook, TLS's Paul surmised that it may have just been that the "daily special was a filet of fawning topped with lumped pander."
