There are so many things that make Houston a contender for the best city in Texas (don't get your panties in a bunch, Dallas and Austin), especially when it comes to food. At Eating Our Words, a simple meditation on the phrase, "only in Houston," led to an entire article of reasons why our little plot of bayous, neighborhoods and asphalt contain some of the best grub in the world (as well as our share of setbacks). Burgers, a variety of ethnic cuisines, the passion of barbecue lovers and the infamous Starbucks across from a Starbucks were just a few to make the long list. [EOW]
