The Fertitta Files

It's officially official: a judge finally approved a plan for Houston-based Landry's Restaurants to take over operations of Eva Longoria's bankrupt Vegas steakhouse, Beso. It hasn't been an easy road and the presiding judge, "acknowledged dissident investors in Beso claim this is sweetheart insider deal for Longoria because she’ll have an ownership stake in the Landry’s-led entity" Sounds complicated and messy, and right up Landry's Restaurant owner, Tilman Fertitta's alley. Landry's hopes to eventually purchase Beso for $1 million plus the costs it will take to run the restaurant until the sale is completed. [VegasInc]
