What Texas needs is more Memphis-style barbecue, according to lead singer of the band OneRepublic-turned-barbecue-restaurant-franchisee Ryan Tedder. Along with founder Eytan Sugarman, Tedder is planning an expansion of Southern Hospitality BBQ to 10 new U.S. markets (Houston included) as its first franchisee. Southern Hospitality, which started in New York City ("New York City!"), is described as "A celebrity magnet known for its barbecue menu, as well as a full bar with specialty bourbons and in-house beers."
