8TH WONDER BREWERY—The developing brewery in EaDo from food truck phenoms, the Eatsie Boys, is also turning into a classroom. According to Culturemap, brewmaster Aaron Corsi, who is also a teacher at the University of Houston, "will be utilizing the brewery space as a working lab for his students with the ultimate goal of developing a degree program in brewing — the only one of its kind in Texas." SAINT ARNOLD BREWING COMPANY—The most established Houston brewery has a little more wiggle room to try new things and they're doing just that with the September release of a new year-round beer called Santo. The style is a black Kölsch and the new label is a big departure from the typical, Saint Arnold branding. [Eaterwire]
KARBACH BREWING CO.—Karbach's website went live and this is what their marketing/promotions dude, David Graham, had to say about it, "We’d been waiting to launch the site until we were closer to brewing beer and we are REALLY close to brewing beer." Karbach hopes to have beer ready the first week in September. [Eaterwire]
