Houston Press food critic Katharine Shilcutt received a press release about an "empty nester cocktail" that she deems "the most appalling cocktail ever created." Sauza (and their publicists) "created the perfect libation for those mom's battling (or reveling in) their Empty Nest Syndrome." Shilcutt interviews an empty nester, her own mother, who reads the press release as "a chaser for a bottle of sleeping pills," calling it "pure desperation." [EOW]
