Texas Beer Fest Moves to Discovery Green for Next Year

It's official, the second annual Texas Beer Fest (which has NO affiliation with Houston Beer Fest) will be at the downtown oasis of Discovery Green next year.

The 2011 event this past spring was a mixture of pre-festival beer dinners and parties highlighting Texas breweries, bars and restaurants in addition to a one-day (all day) tasting. This year will be no different, except for the location of the big event, which was located in the way-out suburb of Humble last year...not exactly an enticing drive for Houstonians that live in the city.

Festival organizer, Clif Wigington sees this move as an opportunity to reach a larger audience, exposing more to the beauty that is the Texas brewing scene, telling Eater, "Texas Beer Fest is very excited to enhance its support of local Texas breweries with our big move. We're aiming to make this a a beer festival that Houston and actually, all of the nation can look forward to."
