It's all happening, people - Trader Joe's is one step closer to opening in Houston. Swamplot reports that the proposed changes to the former Alabama Theater's exterior (like a big, giant sign with "Trader Joe's" on it) have been A-P-P-R-O-V-E-D. Because the Alabama Theater is a city landmark, any changes to the building's facade have to be ok'ed by the Houston Archeological and Historical Commission first. [Swamplot]
