Over the next few weeks, Houston is playing host to three Food Network personalities. Aarón Sanchez is helping House of Blues kick off their new restaurant menu, Anne Burrell is signing copies of her new cookbook and Alton Brown is giving a talk, answering questions and signing books. Want to catch them? Here's the when and where of finding all three of them in Houston.
The first, Aarón Sanchez, comes to House of Blues tomorrow afternoon to kick off the new menu inside the newly named Crossroads restaurant. While there are no "official" signings or appearances, you'll probably stand a good chance of catching a glimpse and possibly a handshake if you stop in for lunch tomorrow.
Second in town is the spunky and blonde chef Anne Burrell who's written a cookbook on how to Cook Like a Rock Star and she's signing said books inside two separate H-E-B's outside the loop. Catch her on Saturday, October 9 from noon - 2 p.m. at the H-E-B in Kingwood (4304 Kingwood Dr.) and 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. at the one near Cypress (24224 Northwest Freeway). Despite the cheesy title, the cookbook's actually pretty good with some sophisticated recipes. By the way, over the course of next week, we'll be running a contest to give away three copies of her new cookbook. Stay tuned.
Last but not least, our favorite food nerd, Alton Brown is paying us a visit (despite his playful tweets threatening to remove Houston from his book tour in favor of Oxford, Mississippi). Catch him Thursday, October 20, 7 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble in Town & Country Village (12850 Memorial Drive) for a talk, Q&A and a book signing. Just don't plan on taking any cell phone pictures, trying to start up a chat if you see him in the restroom or making physical contact.
