No, actually, he did worse: Perry said, "I've had road kill that tasted better than that," referencing Eastern North Carolina pork barbecue back in 1992. Eater Austin rightly asserts that "this quote has come back to haunt him," noting that some East Coast folks are not-so-tongue-in-cheekly asserting that his barbecue opinions make him ineligible for the presidency.
