Astros Announce Fan (and Food) Friendly Initiatives

No offense Astros, but the fact that your ticket prices have lowered doesn't mean much in comparison to the REAL changes taking place at Minute Maid Park this upcoming season. Cheaper beer? Now there's something we can get behind.

While all this fuss continues over rumors that the Astros may no longer be called the Astros, all you need to know is that for the first time since Minute Maid Park came into existence, "fans will be permitted to bring in their own food and beverages."

Although beverages really means water, here are the specifics on getting your stuff inside the park: "Food must be transported in a small, clear (see-through) plastic bag, and water must be in a sealed, plastic bottle, being one liter or less in size. One bottle of water per person is allowed."

In addition to allowing outside food and drink in the park, 14-oz domestic beers sold inside will only be $5. Score.
