New IPA From No Label; Saint Arnold Breaks Records

NO LABEL — After lots of fan requests, the Katy brewery will finally have an IPA come May in addition to its lineup of Elda M. Milk Stout, Pale Horse pale ale, amber Ridgeback and El Hefe(weizen). No Label will also be installed in its new 12,000 sq ft space and using three 60-barrel fermenters by that time. [Facebook]

SAINT ARNOLD — Houston's oldest craft brewery reported record shipments of more than 40,000 barrels of beer in 2011 — thats equal to all of the beer produced by the brewery during its first 9 years. Saint Arnold's top selling beer is still the Lawnmower, with the Amber Ale coming in at second place. [BeerNews]

SOUTHERN STAR — The makers of Blonde Bombshell and Buried Hatchet will be hosting the Open the Taps fundraiser on Sunday, February 12 from 2-5pm. Tickets are $30 (or 2 for $50) and gain you entrance to a tasting and tour, a raffle ticket and music from the Folk Family Revival. KARBACH — Cans begin production at the manufacturer this Friday, so canning will start shortly after. Representatives from Karbach will also be judging the final round of homebrews at Petrol Station’s “Once You Go Black” event this Saturday at 5pm.
