Pan Asian restaurant Nosh Bistro opened quietly Monday on Kirby just south of 59 next to Allegiance Bank. The long, narrow room features dark wood paneling and purple accents throughout. There's a community table next to the bar; a wrap-around patio offers more seating, including a fire pit to congregate around on chilly evenings.
As for the food, owner Neera Patidar and chef Carlos Gonzales have created a menu that blends cuisines from East and South Asian with local and seasonal produce. There are shared, family-style entrees in the form of four different "boards" and pizzas from a wood-burning oven. Bar manager Jason LaBove came to Nosh from Coppa and has developed a cocktail list from wine and beer offerings.
Current hours of operation are 5:30 until 11:00 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
