On Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Oxheart will host a Moneycat brunch with all profits benefiting Governor, a New York City restaurant that suffered extensive damage from Sandy's floodwaters.

For those who have forgotten or missed it the first time, the team of chef Justin Yu, pastry chef/baker/badass Karen Man and sommelier Justin Vann hosted the Moneycat brunch pop-up that offered diners a preview of Oxheart's perspective, if not its cuisine. Although Oxheart may not serve slightly skewed versions of Asian-influenced breakfast comfort food, the careful preparations and rigorously sourced ingredients are present in every Oxheart dish. People flooded to Umai, Yu's father's now shuttered Japanese restaurant on Bellaire, to see what the hype was all about.

As with everything connected to the restaurant that has earned numerous accolades, this event will attract a crowd. Those who are curious are advised to get there early.
