Cookbook author Arthur L. Meyer has compiled recipes from 70 Houston restaurants in his new book Houston Chef's Table: Extraordinary Recipes from the Bayou City's Iconic Restaurants. Although it includes Tex-Mex classics from Ninfa's and Molina's, there are also recipes from chefs who have defined Houston's culinary scene such as Robert Del Grande, Mark Cox and Randy Evans.
Meyer will be at the book's launch party tonight at the Four Seasons hotel downtown from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. There will be appetizers and complimentary wine. It's free to attend but reservations are required. Make one by calling 512-282-3293 or emailing ameyer@texas.net.
