Two new food trucks have recently appeared on Houston's streets. The first is Muiishi Makirritos from chef Matthew Mui, who has worked at RA Sushi, Soma and Kata Robata. Muiishi Makirritos serves Japanese-inspired food that's been turned on its head, such as mac and cheese egg rolls and a shrimp tempura dog. The menu from a recent soft-opening service can be found on the truck's Facebook page.
Big Daddy Z's serves Cajun fusion food such as the Swamp Thing that combines pork, chicken or beef on a challah roll with remoulade and sauces. Everything on the menu can be ordered with the extra spicy Big Daddy Z's Baby sauce.
