Houston's north side is rapidly moving beyond the days when restaurants such as Mel's in Tomball were the only reason to make the drive. As the controversy over this week's listicle of the top 10 restaurants in The Woodlands demonstrated, that suburb has moved beyond the days when national chains dominated the restaurant scene. Restaurants such as Crust Pizza Co, Corkscrew BBQ and Capri are solid local options for the sprawling master-planned community. Then there's the scene in Kingwood, which has several solid options.
