For the second time this week, Press critic Katharine Shilcutt writes about an experience in which tried to appreciate 'normal people' food and utterly failed. This time it's Furr's Fresh Buffet where "everywhere you look on the various steam tables that comprise Furr's "fresh buffet" are foods in varying shades of brown, taupe, chamois, fawn, khaki, ecru and occasionally something approaching the yellow-orange end of the spectrum." Someone take this woman to Hubcap Grill or something. She's suffered enough! [Eating Our Words]
