Despite the uproar on Twitter at Friday's announcement that Feast will close in August, co-owner James Silk tells Chronicle critic Alison Cook that "There were not enough people coming through the doors on a regular basis." As for her opinion of why Feast is closing, Cook writes that "I think in large part it was because the restaurant challenged diners with pickled lamb's tongue or salad of Gulf ray and lentils instead of soothing them with the familiar."
