Mexican Steakhouse La Casa del Caballo Coming to Montrose

Although it might seem like Houston has enough options when it comes to steakhouses and Mexican restaurants, Saltillo, Mexico-based steakhouse La Casa del Caballo announced today in a press release that it would be taking over the former La Strada/Caffe Bello/Don Julio's space early next year. In addition to beef, the restaurant will serve "a variety of meats as well as Mexican dishes like enchiladas." Expect a full bar and private dining rooms, although whether the restaurant will be able to recreate La Strada's infamous brunch service remains to be seen. [Eaterwire]
