Following up on a story from the beginning of November, Pi Pizza Truck owner Anthony Calleo reports that 18 fans took him up on his offer of free pizza if they got one of the truck-themed tattoos from artist Gabriel Massey at Scorpion Studios. The most popular choices were the pizza cutter and the one that reads This Pizza Kills Fascists. Calleo is so pleased with the response that he predicts the promotion will return next year, although probably only for a week.
Calleo also confirms that he's actively pursuing a brick and mortar space, which is something that had always been his goal to achieve within 18-24 months of opening the truck. He says he has two options that are "a lot closer and more real" than his previous efforts, but that "until I have keys, nothing's certain." Although he declined to say which neighborhood he's targeting, he's hopeful that he can have a spot open during the first quarter of next year.
