Week in Reviews: Portugallia

Did you know that steak with lobster on top is Portuguese cuisine? At Portugallia in west Houston, Houston Press food critic Katharine Shilcutt finds out that it also is "thin and tough in parts, while the lobster on top looked suspiciously like langostino." But, she finds favor with most everything else. The sea bass "more than impressed," a chickpea salad "strongly flavored" with salted cod was a winner and the traditional Portuguese soup, caldo verde, has "just the right touch of salt and savory flavor."
