Chef Junnajet "Jett" Hurapan of Blu Restaurant & Lounge in Sugar Land, apart from having the coolest name in the industry, also has a piece of personal history that has nothing to do with the kitchen. After going to culinary school and working for 12 years as a corporate executive chef, Hurapan told interviewer Mai Pham that he took a two year hiatus to become a race car driver where he "took out as many cars" as he could to help his teammate cross the finish line first.
