Wieners with Happy Endings

happy-endings.jpgHey, look, it's another food truck with a cheeky name: Happy Endings. Katharine Shilcutt from the Houston Press had a first taste of the Asian hot dog fusion-y dishes and it looks like this one's a keeper. Trying the "Geisha," which is topped with bonito flakes (declared by Shilcutt to be the ingredient that will replace bacon), she felt it was a "punch of meaty joy," although the condiments of katsu sauce and spicy mayo "were mere afterthoughts." But the "prospect of kimchee-topped hot dogs still to come" ensures she'll be back for more happy endings. [EOW]
