Southern Star Turns 4; City Acre's April Tasting

SOUTHERN STAR — The Conroe brewery is throwing itself a birthday bash on Saturday March 24, from 6pm to 10pm. Tickets are $20 and include a commemorative pint glass, 5 tokens for beer, which will include regular release beers, seasonal and some test batches and special casks, and live music from the Folk Family Revival. It's the best day of the year, girl. [Facebook]

BRASH BREWING COMPANY — A new brew from Petrol Station's Ben Fullelove is starting with a collaboration with Massachusetts brewery, Clown Shoes this April. Fullelove will make a batch of a Belgian brown and Clown Shoes will make a 10% version of their Brown Angel. The two beers will be blended to make Pimp, a double, double brown ale with a name that makes a lot more sense when you see that their IPA is called Tramp Stamp. [Eaterwire]

CITY ACRE BREWING — City Acre brewing is hosting another tasting event on April 21 and the time for claiming a golden ticket is nigh. There will be five different beers to try from the soon-to-open brewpub, and the last event filled up fast. Invitation requests will be accepted via email starting at 10am on Tuesday, March 13 through 4pm on Friday, March 16. [Twitter]
