SOLEA—The wine bar and cafe with an emphasis on Flamenco music is opening at 1500 Shepherd sometime in April or early May. In addition to live music, a press release describes the menu as "a melting pot of culinary cuisines, as diverse as fried catfish or Natchitoches Meat Pies to skewered beef filets or French Dip and Onion Soup." [Eaterwire]

UNION KITCHEN—The second outpost of Union Kitchen, opened this week, described in PR speak as featuring "a unique global menu served with southern hospitality in a casual atmosphere." The new location is at 12538 Memorial Drive and the original location is in Bellaire. [Eaterwire]

L'OLIVIER—Now that the transformation of a "space that was a former adult DVD store" is complete, L'Olivier is opening to the public on Monday, April 2. This "casual French bistro" will feature the menu of chef Olivier Ciesielski, an alum of Tony's and La Colombe d'Or. [29-95]

LA BAR—Conveniently located right next door to Ragin Cajun, whose owners are the same, LA Bar is open all day (11 a.m. - 11 p.m.) starting Friday and features a "New Orleans style eating experience serving Contemporary Creole cuisine." Hence LA referencing Louisiana and not Los Angeles. *Whew* [b4-u-eat]

GREEN SEED CAFE—Vegan food truck, Green Seed, found a permanent location at 4320 Almeda and is serving Monday - Saturday 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. [Facebook via b4-u-eat]
