Monday came and went and Underbelly opened. Unlike the day after Christmas, instead of a huge letdown and a massive hangover, it's quite the opposite around Houston. In other words, every day is Christmas now that Underbelly is here.
To add to that excitement, we'd like to remind you of the week that was:
Underbelly opened with gusto to the public.
Chris Shepherd provided photographic evidence confirming the chef shuffle rumor of Daniela Soto-Innes joining the kitchen crew (after leaving Triniti).
The raving over Korean-braised goat and dumplings begins. The menu looks ridonkulous.
Chris Shepherd took time out of his busy schedule to answer some questions for Eater about finally opening his restaurant.
Don't forget, they serve lunch. It's cheaper and there are PIMENTO CHEESE GRITS on the menu (along with that Korean-braise goat and dumplings dish).
You're lookin' at it.
