Texas Beer Fest is Nearing; Karbach's Caddyshack Dinner

TEXAS BEER FEST—In beer festival news where people aren't super pissed off at organizers for royally screwing things up, the Texas Beer Fest is in less than two weeks. There will be 70 breweries in attendance, 23 of them from Texas. Details: April 28th from 1 pm - 7 pm at Discovery Green downtown, various ticket pricing options, lots of beer. [Eaterwire]

KARBACH—This Friday people will drink Karbach's beers and eat food from a menu designed to pair with those beers and in between the sipping of beer and the chewing of food, those same people will be quoting Caddyshack. It all happens at the Alamo Drafthouse West Oaks this Friday at 7pm. There will be lots of dudes in their 30's in attendance. Karbach will also be debuting a new beer, the Hop Barran American Stout, at the Texas Beer Fest. [Eaterwire]

SAINT ARNOLD—Houston's own Saint Arnold Brewing Company is throwing a whole lot of beer-related events in New Orleans next month in hopes they can entice loyal Houstonians across the Louisiana state line to come drink beer with them in the Big Easy. There will be beer dinners, a pub crawl, something called a tap takeover and a crawfish boil. There will also most likely be some crazy, beer-induced hijinks on Bourbon Street. [Eaterwire]

NO LABEL BREWING CO—On April 28, people that fancy themselves athletes can run, bike and swim to the No Label Brewing Co. brewery in a special triathlon with beer at the finish line. The race begins at 7 am on April 28. [Eaterwire]
