The Houston Beer Fest people, whether or not they are affiliated with the recent shit show also known as the Austin Beer Fest, are planning an entire beer conference in New Orleans for summer 2013. That's right, not only a one-day beer fest (which ended up being pretty disastrous in its inaugural year in Houston), but a weekend-long conference called the "Southern Craft Beer Conference." Someone in New Orleans is already calling for a ban of the event. [Eater NOLA]
