Sometimes thieves are brazen, stealing 500-pound beehives in the quiet, dawn hours. But sometimes they're just into quietly carbo-loading, as is the case with a recent wave of theft inside local-everything focused grocery and cafe, Revival Market.
Revival Market's Morgan Weber tells Eater Houston the most recent theft trend is:
Half loaves of Slow Dough cranberry walnut bread. We've had a few instances at the shop where, during the day we've noticed bags of opened, half-loaves of bread sitting in our bread case. Interesting that they don't take the bag itself, just the bread.
Not to condone theft or anything, but why wouldn't someone go for broke and take the whole loaf? That bread is damn good.
