Woodlands Wine and Food Fest; Haven Wino Wednesdays;CityCentre Curry Crawl

THE WOODLANDS The eighth annual Woodlands Wine and Food Festival will take place from June 4 to June 10. There's a variety of events including Sips, Suds and Sliders that allows people to drink craft beer while eating mini-burgers. There's also the H-E-B Wine Walk that features chef demonstrations and has a British royal theme. Tickets and more information available here.

UPPER KIRBY On Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in June and July, local farm to table restaurant Haven will offer unlimited wine tastings and appetizers for $10. They're calling the event "Wino Wednesdays."

CITYCENTRE Houston chefs will compete in a Curry Crawl at CityCentre on Sunday June 24 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event benefits Pulse, the St. Luke's Hospital Young Professionals Group. Each chef will serve a curry dish to be judged by the crowd and a panel that will include the Houston Chronicle's Greg Morago, the Houston Press' Katharine Shilcutt and CultureMap's Sarah Rufca. Chefs include: John Sikhatanna of STRAITS; Philip Speer of UCHI; David Guerrero of Samba Grille; Junnajet "Jett" Hurapan of BLU; Mary Cuclis of Pondicheri; Kiran Verma of Kiran's; Shiva Patel of The Queen Vic; and Chef Jimmy Kieu of RA Sushi. Tickets are $55 and may be purchased here.
