Dallas import Gloria's recently opened their first Houston location. The restaurant serves a mix of Salvadoran and Tex-Mex options such as tamales, pupusas and ceviches. The restaurant is large, with a dedicated bar area and substantial dining room. Weekends should be lively; Friday and Saturday nights feature live salsa music with a $10 cover charge, increased drink prices and a policy of not allowing children in the restaurant after 11 p.m. Gloria's should fit in well with other Midtown establishments that offer a similar mix of alcohol and food for revelers.
