MONTROSE— Men's clothing store Mortar has announced their second anniversary party will also serve as a fundraiser for local restaurant political organization OKRA. Beginning at 3:30 p.m. this Sunday June 10, people are invited to walk from Hay Merchant to Mortar while making stops at Anvil (for cocktails and Greenway Coffee) and Poison Girl. Once they arrive at the store, food trucks The Modular, Oh My! Pocket Pies and Phamily Bites will be serving food. Paulie's will have cookies available for dessert. HEIGHTS— Tonight only from six to nine p.m. Hubcap Grill on 19th Street will serve a burger topped with brisket from Gatlin's BBQ, pepper jack cheese and homemade vinegar coleslaw. They're also offering $3 Southern Star Bombshell Blonde, St. Arnold and Brooklyn Brewery.
KATY— Alicia's Mexican Grill celebrates the opening of their new location at 25725 Katy Freeway with a cocktail reception on June 23. The $25 tickets will benefit The Brookwood Community, that provides support for disabled adults. The restaurant itself opens this Monday June 11.
