On twitter this afternoon, Plonk chef Erin Smith revealed that the Oak Forest wine bar and restaurant had been the victim of a burglary Monday night. She tweeted that the restaurant's safe had been taken and that there was "glass everywhere." Plonk's owner Scott Miller jokingly told 29-95 that he believed the thieves were after the recipe for Smith's celebrated guanciale burger but declined any further comment. Plonk's team has already cleaned up the mess, and the restaurant will be open for regular dinner service tonight. Try the Thai-style mussels.
