Bon Appetit's Andrew Knowlton revealed his "Hot 10" list of America's best new restaurants today including which included Oxheart: the 34 seat restaurant in downtown's warehouse district where the husband and wife team of Justin Yu and Karen Man serves a constantly changing menu devoted to the best local ingredients. While Knowlton focuses on the food, credit also goes to manager Christie Rafanan and sommelier Justin Vann for the ease with which they handle the crowds of people who have flocked to the restaurant. The award caps off a banner summer for Oxheart, which was named Houston Chronicle critic Alison Cook's top restaurant in Houston prior to her awarding it four stars in a review that compared it to some of the best restaurants in the world.

For anyone wondering how Oxheart reached this point, check out some of Eater's previous coverage of the restaurant. Justin Vann spoke about his role as a Gatekeeper. Back in June, the Oxheart crew let Eater witness their Pizza Monday staff meal. Bon Appetit confirms what many people have already realized; Houston is lucky to have a restaurant like Oxheart.
