Bonefish Grill, the national chain of seafood restaurants that focuses on wood-grilled seafood, has opened its first Texas outpost in Webster across from Baybrook Mall. In addition to signature items such as ahi tuna sashimi and PEI mussels Josephine, Bonefish also features an extensive list of beverage options including cocktails, wines by the glass and craft beer. The restaurant is open for dinner seven days a week with lunch served Friday and Saturday and brunch on Sunday.
Over in downtown, local activist and twitter personality kylejack documented a visit to the newly opened Pepper Jack's that took over the space formerly occupied by Cabo in Market Square. The menu features a mix of Tex Mex options such as fajitas, New-Mexican style dishes like a stuffed poblano pepper and Cajun specialties like gumbo and crawfish tails. No lunch special yet, but the restaurant is still early in its soft-opening. Prices are in line with higher end Tex Mex options like El Tiempo or Ninfa's on Navigation.
