Del Frisco's Grille Replaces Ava at West Ave

During his weekly appearance on The Cleverley Show, Del Frisco's General Manager Arthur Mooradian confirmed the rumor that a Del Frisco's Grille will replace Robert Del Grande's shuttered Ava in West Ave early next year. Del Frisco's Grille is a more casual, less expensive twist on the steakhouse concept that Del Frisco's already employs both at its namesake Double Eagle Steakhouses and sibling Sullivan's Steakhouse. While there are steaks on the menu, the focus is on comfort classic entrees like meatloaf and pork chops, along with an array of burgers and flatbreads.

Nation's Restaurant News awarded Del Frisco's Grille a 2012 Hot Concepts Award for the way it mixes classic steakhouse dishes with lighter options and a lively bar scene. The focus will put Del Frisco's Grille squarely in competition with Eddie V's, which is also known for its lively happy hour scene at the south end of the West Ave complex.
