After four days of invite-only, friends and family service, Provisions, the more casual, rustic half of The Pass and Provisions, is accepting reservations from the public beginning tonight. A tipster relayed that he had made a reservation, and Eater verified by visiting the restaurant and asking the hostess if they were accepting reservations.
What will diners find when they visit? Chef Terrence Gallivan tells 29-95's Greg Morago that the menu's guiding philosophy is "a place we'd want to go ourselves all the time." That includes guanciale and arugula pizza topped with fresh uni, kimchi pan au lait and suckling pig for two.
Inside, "The bar area features a large 16-seat communal table and a bar with 10 stools where customers can order all manner of drinks with bubbles: cider, beer and champagne and cava." There are numerous other thoughtful touches that reflect the space's history. Tables from previous occupant Gravitas have been used to panel the stairway, and the sign from original occupant Antone's hangs in Provisions.
