Ex-Samba Grille chef David Guerrero announced today that he plans to open two new restaurants before the end of the year. The first is Alma, a Peruvian restaurant that opened quietly in the Energy Corridor this week. Expect an Eater Inside for Alma shortly.
Meanwhile, Guerrero is finally ready to reveal plans for his more upscale offering EVO. Short for REvolution, EVO's ambitious goal is to serve as a venue for experiments in Latin American cuisine. Four, six and nine-course tasting menus will, according to a press release, "have its own theme rich in history that will tell a story inspired by the staff's own lives." The restaurant will be located in a renovated house near Italian restaurant Da Marco.
