Free Oysters, Valentines for Soldiers and Much More

DOWNTOWNValentines for Soldiers takes place tonight from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Saint Arnold brewery downtown. The event features a bake sale, food trucks and the chance to make care packages for soldiers stationed overseas. Proceeds benefit Team Red, White, & Blue and the Wounded Warrior Project. HEIGHTS— Tonight, at Big Star Bar, Cove chef Philippe Gaston, Grand Prize co-owner Ryan Rouse and twitter personality Guns and Tacos are shucking approximately 500 raw oysters. Also, the oysters are totally free. Former Grand Prize bartender Claire Sprouse will be making drinks at the event they're calling the Sprouse/Rouse Oyster House. It starts at 8:00 p.m. and lasts until the oysters run out, which will be quickly. [Facebook]
