WEBSTER— Barbecue Breastaurant Bone Daddy's House of Smoke will open this Monday at 19901 Gulf Freeway in Webster. It's the chain's first venture into the Houston area. The menu features all the expected smoked meats (brisket, turkey, sausage, pulled pork and ribs) along with salads, burgers and chicken fried steak. The real draw, of course, is female servers in skimpy outfits. There's lots of pictures of them on the restaurant's Facebook page.
WASHINGTON AVENUE— The bar formerly known as V21 Shot Bar & Grill has been transformed into a sports bar concept called Fusion Dive Bar & Grill that opens tonight at 6:00 p.m. The bar's interior has undergone a renovation to be more "sporty;" that means there's dart boards and Golden Tee. The tipster who reported the changes called the transformation "stupid," but maybe it's just the thing a struggling club on Washington needs. [Fusion Dive Bar/Facebook]
#trucklife— Mai's Banh Mi Express is one of Houston's newest food trucks. Owners Harvey Mai and Phi Tran keep things simple with a four item menu of Vietnamese sandwiches filled with beef, chicken or pork. The truck is still working out a regular schedule; follow it on Facebook or Twitter for updates.
