Fox 26 paid a visit to The Original OKRA Charity Saloon this weekend and spoke to general manager Mike Criss about the bar's innovative program to donate all of its profits to charity. Patrons can vote from among four different charities, and the one that receives the most votes get that month's donation. The bar is a joint project between several independent bar and restaurant owners including Anvil, Grand Prize and Paulie's.
In addition to cocktails and beer, the Saloon serves a menu of paninis, seasoned french fries, fresh baked cookies and Eatsie Boys gelato. It's open everyday from 3:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m.
