Vinyl Night at MKT Bar; Global Food Events for October

DOWNTOWN— Since today is the first day of the month, here's a reminder that Oxheart began accepting reservations for November at midnight, and there are still seats available for October. The multi-course tasting menus will only be up for offer certain days both months; they'll be closed October 19 through 21 and November 18th for private events. GLOBAL FOOD EVENTS— Eater National has compiled a list of 20 October food and drink events from around the world. Start planning some trips, starting with Texas' own State Fair of Texas in Dallas, which began last week and runs through October 20. Another Texas stop on the map is San Antonio's "Latin Flavors, American Kitchen" from tomorrow (October 2) through October 4. [Eaterwire]

DOWNTOWN— Yours truly will be hosting MKT Bar's Vinyl Night tomorrow from 7 to 10 p.m. on the first floor of downtown's Phoenicia. The event is free and open to the public. Stop by, have a pizza and listen to some (in my opinion) pretty good music. [Eaterwire]
