There have been many rumors about a beer garden set to open somewhere around Tacos A Go-Go owner's upcoming project Retrospect Coffee. Now it seems like they were completely founded. New Living owner Adam Brackman and Monte Large have been working on the beer garden project for a while now but were reluctant to comment until the time was right. That might have something to do with the city's notorious permit and construction delays that often create unexpected setbacks for new bars and restaurants.
Yesterday Swamplot reported that it will be called Victory Beer Garden and that "the plan shows that the 12,000-sq.-ft. garden would have plenty of outdoor seating and a few spaces for food trucks to enter from Alabama and park."
Today Brackman tells Eater that they will have 24 taps of craft beer and no Bud or Miller. "Luigi's and the beer garden are closely integrated, so you can eat pizza out in the garden and drink craft beer in Luigis," Brackman says. "Luigi's will stay open later to serve our customers."
