Chef Receives Threats for Serving Seal; Deal Wire

SCANDAL WIREEater National reports that chef Kim Côté received many death threats upon serving seal meat on his foie gras burger at Côté-Est. Côté's Montreal eatery sold these burgers as a political statement "to protest the European Union's embargo on Canadian seal products." Despite activists' efforts, the burger remains on the menu.
